About Us
The MarTEL tests were founded and developed by the European Union and eight major
players in the maritime education and training (MET) community across Europe, as
well as several external consultants, examiners and verifiers. The external verification
included countries both inside and outside of the MarTEL partnership.
The MarTEL partnership has many accumulative years of experience in EU project developments
and works very closely with the international maritime community and industry. The
partnership also has a number of years experience in the testing and assessment
of MET programmes.
